Dark theme, start screen and tab order in VocaLingo

All of these options are in the middle of the Settings tab, right after the App Language item. The theme, start screen and tab order are stored on the device: on another phone or in the web version you set them again.

How to turn on the dark theme

1. On the Settings tab, tap Theme.

2. Choose Dark, Light or System.

System follows the dark mode of your phone or computer and switches together with it, including on a schedule. Next to it the current result is shown, for example "System (Dark)". Light and Dark stay fixed whatever the device does.

On first launch the app takes the theme your device had at that moment and keeps it fixed. If VocaLingo doesn't follow your phone switching to dark mode in the evening, choose System.

How to choose the start screen

Start Screen sets which tab opens when you launch VocaLingo: Tools (the default), Chat or Settings. If you mostly talk to the AI, choose Chat.

1. On the Settings tab, tap Start Screen.

2. Pick the tab.

The new start screen is used from the next launch of the app. Only visible tabs can be chosen: a hidden tab isn't on the list.

How to change the order of the tabs or hide one

The bar at the bottom of the screen has three tabs: Tools, Chat and Settings. In Tabs Order you can move them and hide the ones you don't use.

1. On the Settings tab, tap Tabs Order to open the list.

2. Press and drag a tab up or down to change its place in the bottom bar.

3. Turn off the switch next to a tab to hide it from the bar.

Changes apply at once. Settings can't be hidden, so you can always get back to these options.

How to hide the Recent block on the Tools tab

Above the tool grid, the Tools tab shows your latest results from all tools. To hide this block, turn off Recent on the Tools tab in the same part of Settings. Your history isn't deleted, it stays in each tool.
