What VocaLingo is and what you can do with it
VocaLingo translates voice messages and videos in the speaker's voice, turns recordings into text, voices text and has an AI chat. Web, iOS and Android.

Each task has its own tool on the Tools tab, and the AI chat covers everything else. The source language is detected automatically in every tool that takes audio or video, so you only choose the language you want to get.
What you can do in VocaLingo
VocaLingo works with speech: it translates it, turns it into text, voices text and changes voices. Tool names below are the tile names on the Tools tab.

The Chat tab is an AI assistant. You can pick a model (GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, MiniMax) or leave it on Auto, attach files, talk in voice mode, search the web, create images, quizzes and flashcards, and set reminders. See what the chat can do.
Where everything is in the app
The app has three tabs: Tools, Chat and Settings. There is no separate Profile tab: your balance, voices and account are in Settings.
Tools: a grid of tools with filters (All, Favorites, Audio, Video, Image, Text) and a Recent row with your latest results.
Chat: conversations with the AI. Chat history opens from the ⋮ menu.
Settings: Balance, Usage History, Free Tokens, App Language, Theme, Notifications, My Voices, Support, Privacy Policy and account deletion.
On iOS and Android you can also send a file to VocaLingo from another app through the share menu, for example a voice message from WhatsApp or Telegram. How this differs between the web version and the apps is described in VocaLingo on web, iOS and Android.
How payment works
Tools are paid with tokens, the in-app currency. A tool charges for what it actually processed: minutes of audio or video, characters of text, messages in chat. Every tool is available without a subscription.
Token packs: a one-time purchase of 100, 300, 500, 1000 or 5000 tokens.
Premium: a subscription with 1,000 tokens per month or 12,000 tokens per year. It also keeps your full history and lets you remove the watermark from videos.
A new account starts with 0 tokens: there is no welcome bonus right now. A few things cost nothing: downloading a video in the app, and the welcome tour, which clones your voice from a 12 to 20 second recording and saves it to My Voices. How to start
Open web.vocalingo.app in a browser or install the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in with email, Google or Apple (Apple only on iPhone and iPad), or tap Try without sign up. Details are in How to create an account.
Allow VocaLingo to send your files to AI services when the app asks. Without this permission the AI tools don't work.

What VocaLingo doesn't do
VocaLingo can't translate a live WhatsApp or Telegram call. It works with recordings, and AI Calls call regular phone numbers. See translating phone and messenger calls.
AI Calls are outgoing only: you can't receive a call through VocaLingo.
Add Captions burns subtitles into the video. There is no separate SRT or VTT file.
Text results of Audio Translation can be copied or shared as text. There is no TXT or PDF export in that tool.
