How tokens work in VocaLingo
Every tool and chat message is paid for with tokens. Tokens from packs never expire, tokens that come with Premium expire at the end of the paid period.

The price depends on what you process: minutes of audio or video, characters of text, the voice or model you pick. Below is how a charge happens, where to see your balance and where tokens come from.
What you pay for with tokens
All tools and the Chat tab spend tokens from one balance. There is no separate fee for opening a tool, and no tool is locked behind Premium.

When tokens are charged
Before you start, the tool shows an estimate. The amount actually charged is calculated on the server from the real length of the file or text, so it can differ slightly from the estimate.
Video Translation, Add Captions, Voice Changer and Video to Text charge only after the result is ready. If processing fails, nothing is charged.
Voice cloning and some voiceovers are charged when they start. If they fail, the tokens are returned automatically.
Charges are rounded up to a whole token. Very small operations (a chat message, a short transcription, a text translation) cost a fraction of a token. Fractions add up and are charged once they reach a whole token.

Where to see your balance
Your balance is shown in two places:
On the Tools tab, in the top right corner. Tap it to buy tokens or Premium.
On the Settings tab, in the Balance card. From there you can open Buy tokens, Usage History and Free Tokens.
The balance belongs to your account. Sign in with the same account on web.vocalingo.app, iOS and Android, and you see the same tokens everywhere.
How to get tokens
Tokens come from three sources: a one-time token pack, a Premium subscription and free rewards. New accounts start with 0 tokens: there is no welcome bonus.

Do tokens expire
Tokens from packs and rewards stay on your balance until you spend them. Tokens that come with Premium do not carry over: unused ones expire when the paid month or year ends, and the next period starts with a new 1,000 or 12,000.
If you only need tokens now and then, a pack is safer: it never expires. Premium pays off when you use up most of its tokens every period.
If Premium was paid with a Russian card through YooKassa and you do not renew it, the remaining Premium tokens are removed after the subscription ends.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when I run out of tokens?
The tool shows "Not enough tokens to finish this action" and offers a token pack or Premium. Your files and results stay where they were. See Not enough tokens.
I used the app as a guest. Will I lose my tokens if I sign in?
No. When you sign in to an existing account, the guest balance is moved to that account. When you create a new account from guest mode, the guest data stays with it.
I paid but the tokens did not appear
Usually tokens arrive within seconds. If they are still missing, follow Purchase not showing.
