Which languages VocaLingo supports in each tool

There is no single list: Audio Translation has 111 languages, Text Translation 126, Video Translation up to 190. Check yours with search in the tool's picker.

Each tool has its own language list, because each one relies on different speech and translation models. The fastest way to check a language is to search for it in the picker of the tool you need.

How many languages each tool supports

The table shows target languages, the ones you translate into. In tools that take audio or video, the source language is detected automatically.

The interface languages are English, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, French, Bengali, German, Japanese, Urdu, Indonesian, Korean, Turkish, Vietnamese, Italian, Polish, Thai, Persian, Dutch and Filipino. How to switch: changing the app language.

How to check a specific language

  1. Open the tool you need on the Tools tab.

  2. Tap the language row. In Audio Translation it's the Translation row on the Translation tab.

  3. Type the name of the language in the search field, in the language of the app interface.

If the language is in the list, VocaLingo can translate into it. Recognition has no list, so test it on a short recording: add a 10–20 second fragment to Audio Translation and look at the Language row on the Source text tab. Recognizing one minute of speech costs less than a token.

Which languages have a voiceover

Translation into a language and a voiceover in it are different things. In Audio Translation every one of the 111 languages can be voiced with a standard AI voice, but the speaker's voice clone works for fewer languages:

If the chosen voice can't speak the target language, the app switches to ElevenLabs and shows "Provider does not support the selected language, switched to ElevenLabs". In Tourist Translator, Khmer, Albanian and Zulu are translated as text only, without a voiceover. In Text Translation the Listen button isn't available for every language.

Rare languages and regional variants

  • Caucasian languages: Avar, Chechen, Ossetian, Lezgian, Kumyk, Kabardian, Adyghe, Karachay-Balkar, Ingush, Nogai, Dargwa, Abkhazian, Lak, Mingrelian and Tabasaran. They are in Text Translation and Add Captions, in the Caucasian group of the picker. Only the Gemini 3.8 Flash model translates them: the app says "Caucasian languages are only supported by Gemini".

  • Portuguese is one option in Audio Translation and Text Translation, without a choice between Brazilian and European. In Video Translation, Portuguese (Brazil) and Portuguese (Portugal) are separate options.

  • Tatar is in Audio Translation and Text Translation. Yakut (Sakha) isn't in any translation list yet.

If your language isn't in the list

Check a neighboring tool first: Text Translation has 126 languages against 111 in Audio Translation. A recording can be turned into text in Text Transcription and then translated in Text Translation with Translate text in the What next? block. If the language is missing everywhere, tell us through support: requests show which languages to add first.
